From the lake...
Right on the shores of Lake Caldaro you will find an authentic gem of South Tyrolean architecture: the Seehotel Ambach, designed in the 1970s by the visionary architect Othmar Barth.
With its Seventies atmosphere, bright colours and contemporary design, this unique hotel du lac will allow you to relax by the pool in its spacious and generous private park or take part in all the exciting activities taking place by the lake: swimming, windsurfing, stand-up paddle boarding and pedal boating. And from here you can stroll, hike or cycle through the gentle surroundings of Caldaro, among the colours and scents of vineyards and apple orchards. And then finish off with an open-air dinner on the hotel terrace as the sun silently sets behind the hills.

Our chef Albin Widmann and his team, creatively combine sun-ripened ingredients from the south of Italy with traditional South Tyrolean spices. Our 5-course dinner with a menu of your choice is the ideal opportunity to discover every nuance of his cuisine.
Events: magical nights by the lake
Every week we offer our guests a rich programme: Winemakers Night, Rooftop Aperitif, Dessert Buffet and Gala Dinner. From sunset onwards, our evenings under the stars of the lake will enchant you.
Lots of space - inside and out
11,000 square metres of garden and orchard, that is, 344 square metres of space for each guest to enjoy between deckchairs and sunbeds, surrounded by greenery, by the pool and under the refreshing shade of our large trees.
Swimming: between pool and lake
In our heated 20-metre outdoor pool or in the warmest swimming lake in the Alps. Direct access to the lake via two private jetties. Badehaus with whirlpool, Finnish sauna (90°) and Bio sauna (65°) with infrared heaters included.

Be active - there’s something for everyone
MTB, kayaks, stand-up paddles, pedalos or rowing boats - whatever your favourite activity, we have all the equipment you need. Or you can simply relax in our large private park.
Regenerate: Yoga and pilates
During the summer months, our experienced instructors offer weekly yoga classes, which - on the cool shores of the lake - are even better for the mind and body.
Golf: the pleasure of the green
All golf lovers can take advantage of a 20% reduction on "Green Fee" rates at the nearby Dolomiti Golf Club in Sarnonico.

And after three days by the lake, new geographies and settings await you in Castelrotto, where the Schgaguler Hotel, designed by architect Peter Pichler, will open the doors to its three sleek and sculptural towering, sloped roofs.
From there, the Dolomites will be at your fingertips, at a wheel’s distance. The hotel is the perfect starting point for leisurely walks in the woods, for more daring excursions on the Dolomite peaks, for trekking and mountain biking, amidst breathtaking panoramas and adrenalin-pumping routes, right in the middle of the most incredible Alpine nature. Forest bathing
A deep dive into the heart of darkness. In the forests around Castelrotto you can feel the power of the trees, absorb their soothing energy and silence. Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, recreation and relaxation are guaranteed.
